Rahim’s wish to become a Maula

Rahim (Laxman) was Ram’s twin brother. Hence he too was of the same age as Ram. Rahim too had passed the 7^th. But they were separated when they were 2 years of age. Ram was with his parents while Rahim was with a Maula.

Maula saw Rahim sitting in deep thoughts. “What are you thinking about?”

Rahim said, “Appajan, I have passed the 7^th.”

Maula looked at his marks card. “You got very good marks. I will put you in the same school as your brother Afroz.”

Begam said, “Yes. It is a very good school. Afroz got very good marks after joining that school.”

Rahim looked at his father. “Appajan, I don’t want to join school anymore. I want to continue studying Quran at Madrasa School and become a Maula like you. I want to preach to the people.”

Maula was surprised. He stared at him. “I knew it. Allah sent you to me for this reason only.”

He caressed his head. “I will make you a big preacher. We have so many Islamic schools in India. I will send you there.”

Begam approached Rahim. “When I saw you doing namaz daily so regularly, I knew that you will become a big maula. You are different from other children.”
