Ram gets news about Vasundara

Ram was in his office when he got a phone call from his sister.

Sangita was crying. “Ram, she was brunt to death.”

Ram was shocked. “Who was burnt? What happened?”

Sangita cried. “Vasundara had gone to put milk to the snake den. Her body was found there.”

Ram was horrified. “Oh! My god! I will be there soon.”

He put down the phone and sat with his hand on his chest.

Aslam approached him. “What happened sir?”

Ram looked at Aslam. “I have to go to my village immediately. My wife is dead.”

Aslam was shocked. “How did it happen?”

“I don’t know the details. Her body got burnt. I have to leave immediately.”

Suddenly Raju entered. “Sir, I had taken 2 months leave. I am now joining again.”

Ram looked at him. “Good. You have come at the right time. My wife is dead and I am going home.”

Raju was shocked. “Sorry to hear that, sir.”

Ram nodded and left.

Ram went to the hospital. Doctors, Sangita, uncle Rajeshwar and Srilekha were all there.

Police said, “Sorry sir. We don’t know how it happened. We got information that a burnt body was in the hills.”

The body was bandaged fully. Ram approached the body.

Srilaxmi said, “What a terrible thing to happen. I wanted to go with her but my health was not good.”

Sangita approached Ram with tears in her eyes. “No one knows who did it or why.”

Police said, “We will try our best to catch the culprit.”

Ram wiped his eyes. “It is fate.”

Rajeshwar consoled him. “I think there must be a link between your job and her death.”

Ram looked at his face and nodded. “My mind is not working right now. I love her so much. When her parents died in the terrorist attack, I brought her home and decided to marry her. Our happiness was so shortlived. I just cannot believe it.”
