Rahim replaces Ram

Rahim was busy with his plans. His plan to displace Ram from the office was a grand success.

Ram looked at his men and said, “As soon as the body got burnt in Hyderabad, he got displaced. Now he will not return for 10 to 12 days. I will use this golden opportunity to blow up important placed. We can shatter the self confidence of this nation.”

Akbar said, “I have collected all the information you asked for.”

Rahim nodded and went into his room.

Vasundara’s body was burnt in the cemetery. Ram watched the fire silently with family.

Rahim came out of his room in military dress. He had shaved off his beard. All were shocked to see him.

Kayoom said, “You look just like Commando Ram we saw on TV.”

Razani asked, “Maulasab, how will we recognize you?”

Rahim laughed. “Whenever blasts take place, it is me in Ram’s attire. You all be ready to act. I will divert the commandos from our action spots by giving order them from Ram’s seat.”

Akbar said, “Maulasab, one of our men is waiting for you in Ram’s department. His name is Raju.”

He showed the photo of Raju. “I have told him all about you. You can take him into confidence. He was on leave for many days. I made him join again since you are going to be there.”

Rahim nodded. “Good. That foreign journalist is in India. We have to first kidnap him because he is writing a lot against us.”

Kayoom said, “Yes. He stayed for many days in Pakistan and Afghanistan and reported many things to the BBC. He has come here to take a documentary for BBC on Indian terrorists. Tomorrow he will be at Delhi gate for some shooting.”

 Rahim said, “Good.”

While Ram was doing karma for his wife in the village, Rahim entered Ram’s office. Aslam and others were surprised to see him return so soon. But they saluted to him.

Aslam said, “Sir, it is only 3 days since your wife died. You have returned so soon.”

Ram(Rahim) said, “A person who is dead will not return. I am puzzled why and how she died. I could not stay there any more and so I returned. Do you have any news for me?”

Aslam opened a file. “They have put a point on our external affairs minister. We got information but we don’t know when they will attack.”

Rahim looked through the file. “Do one thing. Tell me details about where you have placed our men.”

Aslam said, “Sir, 10 of our men are protecting the external affairs minister. Another 6 men are at the railway point. 3 Commandos are giving protection to the BBC journalist John. He is shooting at India gate tomorrow. Our men will be there along with the police.”

Ram(Rahim) raises his head and looked at him. “According to the information I got, the railway point is very important. There is sure to be a blast there tomorrow.”

Aslam was surprised. “Sir, who gave you this information? I have been collecting information from all sources but I did not get any such information.”

Ram(Rahim) was shocked. But he recovered and said, “I will tell you later. You just follow my words. Send Raju to protect external affairs minister. We don’t have enough men to put everywhere. Remove those men you have put to protect that journalist and ask them to go to the railway station.”

Aslam shook his head. “Sorry sir. He is a BBC foreign journalist. The international terrorist organization has put a point on him.”

Rahim got angry. “Do as I say.”

Aslam kept silent. “Sir, we can get extra security men if you want. But we have to protect John. Otherwise we will have to face a lot of problems. If anything happens to him, we have to answer the higher officers.”

Rahim said angrily, “Aslam, don’t exceed your limit.”

He looked at Raju. “Mr. Raju, you phone to those men and ask them to go to the railway station. Nothing will happen to that journalist John.”
