CHAPTER 52
Ram leaves for Delhi without mother
One week later Ram was sitting with mother,
uncle, etc. In the hall. Ram said, “Mommy, I never dreamt that such a thing
would happen.”
He had tears in his eyes.
Rajeshwar patted his back. “It was written in your
fate. What to do?”
“Only mommy is left. I don’t want to lose her. I feel
like leaving my job.”
Srilaxmi approached him. “Never say that. I am proud
to have a son who will sacrifice his life for the nation. My life is not
important. The nation is more important.”
Ram was shocked.
Srilaxmi smiled. “Yes. I am telling the truth”
Ram said, “I am proud to be your son. You come with me
to Delhi.”
Srilaxmi shook her head. “No. I don’t want to go
anywhere. I want to live in this village itself till death.”
Ram was sad and worried. “Mommy, how can you say that?
I am so worried about your safety. You are the only one left for me.”
Srilaxmi took his hands and looked into his eyes. “You
go and do your duty. Don’t worry about me.”
Ram left. Just as he went out of the gate, inspector
Chandu arrived. Ram looked at him. “I am leaving my mother here itself. Please
keep an eye on her.”
Chandu assured him. “Don’t worry. We will look after
her.”
After Ram left, Srilaxmi looked at Ram’s shirt hanging
on a hook on the wall. “Oh! He has forgotten his shirt.” She put her hand in
the shirt pocket and took out Ram’s visiting card.

Rahim was sitting with 5 men.
Razani said, “Sir, everything is ready as you planned.
Suicide bombers are ready to act as soon as you give the signal. Two jeeps
loaded with bombs will attack the parliament from two sides.”
Rahim was happy. “Good. But it is difficult to cross
the security and reach the parliament building. Our job will become much easier
if Ram is not around. We have to select a time when I am in his place.”
Razani said, “Maulasab, Ram has returned. We got
information from that point.”
Rahim thought for a while. “We will displace him
again.”
“Only his mother is left now. If you say ok, we will
cut her throat.”
Rahim shook his hand. “No. Wait for my signal.”
