Ram and Rahim get trained

Ram phones to his father. “Papa, I have been selected as a commando. Next I will be undergoing a training period for one year.”

Sister took the phone from her father. “Congratulations, brother.”

Ram said, “When you become a lawyer, I will become a commando here.”

Sangita laughed, “Sure.”

Ram said on phone, “Give phone to Vasundara.”

Vasundara took the phone. “Hallo.”

Ram asked, “Hallo how are you Vasundara?”

“Fine.”

“Don’t worry about anything. As soon as I return after one year of training, I will tie the mangalasutra on you. We will get married.” Said Ram happily.

Vasundara was shy.

Darul-U-Loom was a big Islamic International school. Students from all over the world came here to study Islam. Rahim had joined the school.

On the first day of school, the school principal Maulvi Abdul Koya gave the opening speech. “By adopting the principals of Quran in our lives, we can live as human being and attain enlightenment. It is a way of life. 1400 years ago, prophet Mohammed came to this world and received revelation from God know as Quran which was the final testament. He came with a message of peace, reconciliation, mercy and compassion. Today, cores of people are making their lives bright through the Quran. We can come closer to Allah by reading the holy book of Quran. When Allah shines in our heart, we become carriers of peace. Islam means peace. You all have come here to understand the principles of Quran. Read it as many times as you can and go closer to Allah. After going back to your homes, spread peace among your people. Non-Muslims fear Islam today. The main reason for this is the misunderstanding of the Quran by the Muslims themselves. They create problems to Islam itself. They are branded as terrorists and bring bad name to our religion.”

All listen attentively.

Principal continued, “You have come to this school from different countries to study Islam. If any of you have plans to spread wrong thoughts and sow the seeds to terrorism, you may leave this school now itself.”

One Maulvi said, “In US and Europe, people look at us Muslims most suspiciously. We are targeted for the mistakes done by some one else. This has become a big problem to our people.”

Rahim said, “In India also, Muslims are facing a lot of problems.”

Maulvi said, “Leave out the conditions in other countries. Here in India the Muslims are living happily and have a lot of freedom which is not available in other countries. Not only that, here we have separate laws for Muslims. I am saying this proudly. I am proud to be an Indian Muslim.”

Indian Muslims clapped. Rahim observed everyone.

Rahim was given a room to stay. He was to share the room with two other students. They hugged each other.

Rahim said, “I am Rahim from India.”

Gazi said, “Gazi from Pakistan. Rawal Pindi.”

Karim said, “I am Karim from Afghanistan.”
