CHAPTER 30
Kadar gives job to Jilani
Maula Afriddin was sitting in his house in
Bangalore reading a book. Jilani was sitting on a chair near him.
Kadar came by motorbike. Hearing the sound, Maula
looked at Jilani and said, “Kadar is here. It is the sound of his motor bike.”
Kadar entered. “Salam vale kum.”
Maula returned his wish and motioned him to sit down.
Kadar sat down on a chair. Jilani and Kadar looked at
each other.
“Did you call me?”
Maula nodded. “Maula Yes. I wanted to discuss some
important matter with you.”
He pointed to Jilani. “This is Jilani. He is a small
flower contractor.”
Kadar looked at Jilani.
Maula looked at Jilani. “Kadar is working in the IT.
He is the main organizer for the 2nd science conference.”
Jilani and Kadar wished each other.
Maula said, “He is very particular about doing namaaz
5 times a day.”
Jilani said, “It is very difficult to find such people
in the ITs.”
“He is very kind hearted and had donats huge amounts
to our Madrasa and the poor Muslims.”
Jilani nodded looking at Kadar in admiration.
Kadar said, “It is not such a big job. We should serve
our own men.”
Maula said, “Kadar, I want a favor from you. Jilani is
in a bad financial condition. I want you to give him the flower contract.”
Kadar thought for a while. “It is usually given to big
contractors.”
Maula nodded. “Yes. I know. But Jilani is our man. A
Muslim. May be you can give him any small job in the decoration.”
Kadar looked at Jilani. “Which job will you do?”
Jilani said, “I can supply flowers, bouquets, etc.”
Kadar thought for a while. “Let me see. I will think
of something.”
Jilani looked at him pleadingly. “Sir, I am in great
trouble. Please give me one chance. I will be able to feed my wife and children
for 15 days.”
Kadar felt pity for him. “Allah ki kasam. I will gave
you chance to supply bouquets. Give me your address.”
Jilani said, “Thank you very much.”
Then Kadar became serious. “You must be punctual in
your job and keep your word. I am giving you the job since you are also a
Muslim.”
Maula was very happy. “I was sure that you will help
him.”
